Hi! I'm Alexander from Irkutsk, Russia. My city is located in Siberia, near the lake Baikal. Tourists who visit it usually like the old wooden buildings. We also have some Asian influence, even a Chinese market called Shanghaika. We also have Buryats, an ethnicity indigenous to the Baikal region (Irkutsk oblast and the Republic of Buryatia). A Buryat dish called Buuz is quite popular here. These are big juicy dumplings, meat wrapped in dough and cooked on steam. I used to like them before being unable to eat things made of wheat flour due to health reasons.

I'm 27 years old and I work as an audiovisual translator from English and Spanish. I also like linguistics in general. A fun fact about me is that I like using my phone and Google interface in different languages, usually in ones I don't really understand and don't intend to learn. I like learning what other languages look and sound like and learning about daily life in other countries.

I also hope to find some French-speaking friends because I'm learning French by myself and I would like to have someone to practice it with. But of course, anyone from anywhere is welcome.

I also speak German, not very well but enough to write a postcard and understand what is written on a received one.

I'm also into fountain pens. I had one for quite some time but now I have (ordered) some more.

Since February 2024, I'm interested in lost media and lostwave but not to the point of searching for it. I just like watching videos about it.

The themes/things I like

FOXES
I guess I just like what they look like, there is not much to say about it.

ANIME/MANGA
I mostly like slice of life. My favourite ones are Fruits Basket, Clannad, Kaguya, Bocchi the Rock, Blue Lock, and Blue Period, and Witch Hat Atelier. I recently (28th January 2024) watched Liz and the Blue Bird, and it's pretty good, too.

TEA
I like drinking tea. More than coffee, but I have coffee from time to time, too.

PURPLE COLOUR
I like it because it's not blue or red but something in-between. A weird explanation, I know.

VIEWS OF YOUR CITY/COUNTRY
Some people don't like them (no judgement, it's their choice, I understand), but I do.

WITCHES
Maybe it's because I used to like Broadway musicals before, and Wicked was one of them, but I like witches. Give me a cute witch, and I'm all yours:)

DRAGONS
I liked them as a kid and I fell in love with them again when choosing postcards in an online shop

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
I use it IRL, and I like to see what it looks like in different countries

but basically anything. I don't think there'll be something I will hate (I hope). I understand that you don't have to have a postcard for every preference of every person, so I will be happy with anything.

I also don't mind insects and Harry Potter (I like it but I'm a lax fan, so to say)
