Hi!
My name is Victoria, Vika for short. I live in Ukraine. It's a free country full of unbreakable people.

Feb 24th, 2022 Russia attacked Ukraine. They started a war, want to kill us all and destroy our country. Countless numbers of Ukrainians, including children and the elderly ones, are killed, tortured and raped by Russian soldiers. Just because we are Ukrainians.

We still dealing with air raid sirens and border area shelling, with terrible news from the east and south parts of Ukraine, where occupation and active fights still continue. It’s impossible to believe that this could happen in the 21st century in Europe.

I’m staying in Ukraine. I’m not afraid but I don’t know how long I’ll stay alive.

I want postcrossers around the world to see that Ukraine is not subdued and fighting not only for its own freedom but also for the values and freedom of the entire civilized world.
We don't have a huge territory - from ocean to ocean, we don't have nuclear weapons, we don't fill the world market with oil and gas. But we have our people and our land. For us it is gold.

Ukraine will continue defending itself and will win in this war waged against us. Because we are on our land. The truth is on our side. We fight for what is true for any people on the planet – for life and freedom, for the right to happiness for all our families, all our children.

I'll never stop repeating how proud I am to be Ukrainian.
