About Goda...

Hello everybody.
I'm new to Postcrossing so please forgive my fluster if there is some.

Born in Kaunas (second largest Lithuanian city, though not that large anyway), now I live in Vilnius - a capital city with colourful history. Vilnius is baroque but humble, up-to-date but real. By some calculations, it has around 40% of green space. Can you imagine that in an European capital?

I graduated in art history, theory and critics and I'm too lucky to be working at the National Gallery of Art as a tour guide and at the local art and literature weekly magazine as a visual arts editor. So, I guess, it's already quite clear what my field of interest is.

I'd really like if you wrote something more than just an address and "greetings from x". For example, what is your favorite artwork or time of the year and why, what do you like about your own or my country (if you've heard of it) etc. Please add the date!

I do not like touristic or multi-view postcards that much, but if that's where you go often, work or see from your window, it'll do, just be sure to tell me about it! Also, I'd appreciate it if you avoid (seasonal, holiday) animation, 'funny' pictures of animals and bad design...

What I do like:
artworks (ancient, classical, modern - doesn't matter), architecture, books (libraries), cinema stills or avant-garde directors / actors, history, old maps, religions, something conceptual, something musical, patterns, ornaments, traditions (clothes / crafts), aesthetics, irony, sometimes flowers.

Or just sent me something that you r e a l l y like.

Important > > I always scan my postcards (and I enjoy it!) so you don't have to do this in advance. Thank you!
