About Leslie...

Greetings from Canada's rainforest!

Not only am I Canadian, but Cascadian too! (meaning I support the Cascadia Independence Movement), born and raised in Vancouver, BC. This area is considered by Canadians as simply "The West" or "Lotus Land" our friends to the south consider this area "The Pacific Northwest". I love the name of Cascadia, as it better describes the lush, diverse, beautiful place we are fortunate to live in.

Generally, Cascadia refers to the Cascade Mountain range (and possibly the Cascade subduction zone) and always includes the U.S. states of Washington and Oregon, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Southeast Alaska, Idaho, western Montana and northern California are often included.

Now for a bit about me: I am married. My husband and I are owned by a playful muted calico cat, Toula. We live in Mission BC, a beautiful town of about 35,000 persons. We are about 70 kms from Vancouver and live close to the Fraser River. We have a small cabin on Shuswap Lake (about 400 Km from Vancouver) that we like to spend time at in the Spring and Summer. Some of my hobbies include; hanging out on Facebook (Leslie Dunn, Vancouver, BC) I am passionate about gourmet cooking, love recipes and learning about food/traditions from around the world.

Other top of the list activities are: travel, volunteer work, home decorating, scrap-booking, meeting (& writing to) pen-pals and gardening. I spend a fair bit of time on the internet as I have my own online biz (www.bettys.ca). I love music and go to a lot of concerts. My husband and I like entertaining friends and family and connecting with people. I collect; SHOES (one could say that I am a bit of a shoe hoarder) postcards (of course), festival swag (like posters, handbills etc. of events like Burning Man, concerts, etc), coasters, matchbooks, stickers, and stationary.

My postcard preference is scenic pictures of your country/city. I would prefer to NOT get free/ad cards or pictures of babies, animals or cartoons. I really want to see your country/city/scenery/landmarks etc, after-all isn't that want postcards are all about?!

I am sure that whatever you send I will enjoy. I would like to hear about you, the place you live and the interests you have. I look forward to learning about you!

Looking forward to getting your card!
:o) Leslie
