About aams...

Hi!

I'm 28 years old female and I live in Helsinki, Finland. I like to do things with my hands like sewing, crocheting, knitting and all kinds of DIY-projects. I love Scandinavian design and decorating my home in white, black and grey. I also enjoy jogging, photographing, reading and traveling. I'm very interested in linguistics and languages and I have a Master's degree in Finnish. I love dogs, especially Airedale terriers.

I'm happy to receive any kind of cards, because I think what you write on the card is more important. Cards that represent your hometown, country or culture are always very interesting of course. And I love cards of Krtek the mole. :) I would really appreciate if you could write more than just a few lines on the card. If you don't know what to write, here's a few suggestions:

- I'm extremely interested in onomastics, so you could for example tell me about your first name(s) (what it means, why your parents chose that name etc.), about your surname (what does it mean in english, is there some story behind it, is it common in your country) about your children's names or generally about the name tradition in your country.
- Tell me what your typical day is like
- 3 first words or things that come to your mind when you think of Finland

If you happen to speak Finnish, Swedish or Estonian, you are very welcome to write your card in those languages. I also understand Norwegian, Danish and North Sami even though I can't really speak or write them much. It would also be fun to receive cards written in German or Russian, but I can't promise I'll understand everything, because I only know the basics. :)
