About Markus...

Dear postcrossing friends, welcome!

Thanks a lot for your card and your time. I like exploring the world through handwritten postcards. It's great!

If you send cards to me, feel free to choose a card which is representing specialities of "your world" or country. For example pictures of ...
- interesting people
- culture, nature, typical areas of your country or city,
etc.

I love...
- portraits of people (card-filling faces)
- authentic people, areas or things
- lakes and rivers
- the seaside and ships

I love MOST...
... a picture of something which is making YOU dreaming, loving, or making you yearn for something ...

I don't like multiview tourist cards (I mostly don't have a magnifier at hand to recognize these kind of pictures ;-)...).

My favourite cards are filled with your handwriting. If you don't know what to write, why don't you try this?:
- you may tell me *why* you have chosen *this* card for me, or
- What do you value in life and why? or
- What is your own pearl wisdom? (Maybe in your own language!?)

Anyway: any type of postcard you choose to send will be a joy to receive! Handmade or selfprinted cards are also welcome.

But please send "real postcards" - that means no envelopes and no "folded" cards. Thank you!

Please don't forget to put the date and the ID on the card.

==== Something about me and myself ====

I lived at many different locations, travelled much, now settled down with my wife and our 2 dogs in the middle of Germany. I'm in the late fourties. Beside people, I love photography, classical music, like to read and to travel, cooking and (sometimes) gardening (well, to be honest... I like our garden so much, but most of the work is done by my beloved wife...).

==== About my way of postcrossing ====

Postcards are registered the day they arrive, that's promised.
The most inspiring moment of postcrossing for me is the moment of choosing the right card for my addressee, for YOU.

I also try to make a personal message according to your profile. I read your profile attentively, look at the picture you have chosen for your profile, and then I scan my cards with heart and head for you. Sometimes it's not that easy and I'm surprised how many special collection requests are to be found in postcrossing profiles meanwhile :-). But I hope to find a card which you will really like, and the individual words for you ;-)...

Warm regards,
Markus
