About Zertz...

***short version***
The fastest way to know what kind of postcards I like, is to check my favorites. I like long messages on the back of the postcard, especially when they tell me something else than the facts I can also read on your profile after registrating! :)

***long version***
Hello there!

Let's start with some interesting(?) stuff about me!
I'm a thirty-something Dutch language teacher, living in a small village together with my boyfriend. During the last three years we spent most of our free time on renovating our house.
Besides that I enjoy
⇝ reading books, magazines & newspapers;
⇝ playing the saxophone & board games;
⇝ listening to alternative music;
⇝ visiting festivals, concerts & thrift stores;
⇝ writing postcards, shopping lists & to-do lists;
⇝ cooking & baking for family & friends;
⇝ drinking lots of tea;
⇝ hiking & cycling in nature;
⇝ sleeping & dreaming;
⇝ doing voluntary work.

---About postcards: front side---
❶ In general, I like postcards that are humorous, odd, vintage, retro, unusual, surprising, quirky, that have lots of details or maybe you can find a postcard that has anything to do with what I wrote about myself above. You can also look at my favorites, where I put some postcard(style)s I like. Those are all postcards I didn't receive myself.
❷ There are also some more specific wishes, just in case you have one of these...
▪ Asterix
▪ Anne Taintor
▪ Leonid Afremov
▪ Adeev Sergei
▪ Kukuxumusu
▪ Hedgedogs, meerkats, raccoons, black&silver miniature schnautzers
▪ 'How to be British'
▪ 4 seasons on 1 postcard
▪ Garden gnomes
❸ If you have another beautiful postcard lying around and you want to send it to me, of course that is fine too, because what I like best is variety!

---About postcards: back side---
As I said, I love reading, so I hope you'll write as much as you can on the postcard! Here are some suggestions to write about:
~ what is your favorite childhood memory?
~ tell me what you are most looking forward to at the moment.
~ ask me a question, I will answer it in the hurray message (if I can).
~ what's the name & artist of your favorite song at the moment (or maybe of all time)?
~ tell me your biggest mistake (the kind you're ashamed of at first, but can laugh about later ;)).
~ list 5 things you'd buy or do if you won the lottery.
~ refer me to a (music)video you like.
~ how was your day today? or how does a random day of your life look like?
~ if you have ever been to the Netherlands: which places did you visit and what did you think of it?
~ if you are more of a drawer, a nice drawing would make me happy too!
I also enjoy seeing nice and interesting stamps, stickers, washitape, drawn decorations: they make the postcard complete!

Have fun choosing and writing the postcard, I can't wait to find it in my mailbox!

Best wishes!
