About Uwe...

Hi, I’m Lulu, not simply the house cat, but rather the head of the Troeger family in Bad Harzburg, Germany. Bad Harzburg is a small town (22,000 inhabitants) in the northern edge of the Harz, a mountain range in the center of Germany. And the first geographical opportunity for all Danes, to ride down a real mountain in winter season with real skis and real snow.

Belong to my family, there are Steffi (42), which always fills my bowl and brushed my fur, Uwe (45), which is tearing with me when I feel like it, and who is allowed to sit allongside with me while watching TV. And of course the kids Larissa (7) and Tamira (6), which always tickle me on the ears where I liked it best.

Can you imagine that Larissa and Tamira not even know what it is, a "postcard"? An email, yes of course, that they know. But a "postcard"? Is that maybe a kind of app for the IPhone? To hold a piece of paper in your hands that someone else has written on the other side of the world. And that was transported thousands of miles across oceans and continents... unimaginable!

Show the children where you live, and how it looks at. We like cards of cities, places or landscapes. The children look on the map where the cards came from and learn something about the world and about geography. And each card will be collected by the two girls in large boxes. Do that our postman gets sweat and make the (real) mail box get overflow!

The cards that we send ourselves are mostly designed by Uwe. That’s the guy who has to clean my cat-toilet daily and who is still of the opinion that HE is the real head of the family (what a joke). The whole family is taking photos of our city, places und interesting things we can tell about. Uwe creates the postcards on his computer and the result is professionell printed in a print factory on a postcard-carton with varnished surface. That makes a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and looks very professional. And all the cards we send are limited postcrossing special editions!
