About Yellow_House_Family...

Hi,

We are the Yellow House Family and we so look forward to receiving your postcards.

I am an almost 40 year old "Mum-Mum" to an inquisitive little boy who is 2 1/2 years old. My husband is a stay at home Dad and a very handy person (part plumber, carpenter and electrician). We live in a Yellow House that is over 150 years old and share this space with our three cats.

I love to read and enjoy all kinds of books (Harry Potter, Stephen King, Non-Fiction, Romance, Mystery). I enjoy movies and while I like watching new films, I tend to go back to my favorites (Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare in Love, Waking Ned Devine, Dirty Dancing, etc). I sew, crochet and bake. I really enjoy being creative and giving friends my home-made gifts makes me smile. I love Ireland and want to visit. I also would like to go to Paris and visit Pere Lachaise Cemetary.

My husband likes to read everything (cookbooks, autobiography, old books) but his main hobby is working on his computer and using Linux. He enjoys sampling foreign beer and ale and goes to an annual beer festival in our city. His passion is music and you cannot beat him at a music quiz. He loves Pink Floyd, Queen, Rush, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin.

Our son is two and a half years old and is a typical toddler. Some days he likes everything and some days you better stay out of his way! Since both his parents have a love of reading, we are instilling this in him. His favorite book right now is Llama Llama Red Pajama. He likes Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Robots and his toy cars and people. He also enjoys "baking" in his toy kitchen.

We would like to receive any kind of postcards, geared towards any of our interests. Home made cards would be great. This is going to be a wonderful experience for our family and we thank you for sending a part of you to us, through a postcard.
