About Samantha...

Hello Postcrosser! I am so happy you stumbled across my site and I am looking forward to some fantastic postcard exchanges and awesome talks.

I'm Samantha and I live in Germany.
You’ll find me in the southern part of Germany; in a cosy town named Heidelberg. If you ever find yourself in Heidelberg then I am pretty sure you will fall in love with this beautiful, historic and very romantic town. We have an old castle on a hill, a river with nice meadows to relax on and pretend you’re at the beach. We have one of the best universities in the country right in the middle of Heidelberg's old town which means you’ll walk past a lot of students from all over the world. Mostly on bicycles.

I love to travel. A lot. If I could I’d quit work and travel around the world - repeatedly.
Other cultures, people, traditions and lifestyles are very dear to my heart. The most comfortable way to travel is with my backpack. When I have no one to travel with I go solo. You should try it sometimes, it’s so liberating. 

When I’m not traveling, I am writing and reading. Two things I absolutely love and seriously can’t live without. One day I’ll write a novel. Finger’s crossed.

In case you STILL can’t get enough:
I like to…bake, eat pasta, take photos, film stuff, pretend to be a mermaid whenever I’m in the sea, do yoga, be an introvert, teach myself new things (latest achievement: playing Riptide and Summertime on the ukulele), sing when no one’s listening, talk in different accents, watch series on Netflix, talk to inspiring people and stand up for human rights, gender equality..

But let’s get back to Postcrossing.
I do not care what postcard you are going to send. As long as it’s nothing embarrassing, I am fine with anything. A picture of your hometown, country, the world or simply a nice quote would be amazing. If that’s out of your reach, no worries. The main thing is, I’d love to hear about YOU!

Tell me who you are, where you’re from, what you’re doing…the usual let’s-get-to-know-each-other talk. But seriously. I’d love to know!
I’m not much of a small talk kinda gal. I enjoy deep conversations (that’s a German characteristic btw). So let’s pretend for +50 words on a simple postcard that we’re not strangers but the greatest BFFs in the whole wide world. Let’s talk about serious stuff and dreams you hope to fulfil, about broken hearts and joyful moments. About fears and sorrows, about the stars in the sky and the wild flowers on that field behind your house. Tell me about YOU. What you want in life. What you wish you could forget. Tell me about your day, your friend, your family, your annoying neighbour. I do not care if those +50 words on your postcard will sound like a diary.
Where ever you are in the world, dear postcrosser friend, I can’t wait to read your words.
And yes, I will shut up now.
Looking forward to our conversations!
