About Vladimir...

Hello, my friend!

Hell, that's been a while since I last sent a postcard in Postcrossing... But things happen, and getting back is sometimes soooo nice. So I am glad to be here once again!

My name is Vladimir, I live in Moscow, Russia (yep, witnessing World Cup at this very moment - stuff of legend!) A wonderful city, huge (1.5 hours to work, heh?), diverse and very lively. Never sleeps and never stops. Brings in the drive and makes your juices boil.

Still, I've spent my primes studying and graduating in UK, which was also an excellent experience! This part of life inspired me to travel more and see/learn about various cultures, concepts and perspectives of life in different parts of the world. Plus, that give me a bunch of nice postcards, yeah? ;)

As for hobbies - well, hard to name them all - backpacking and hiking, dancing (waltzing is my favourite), sailing (got skipper license recently and already had an honour to sail a bit in polar Atlantics), fencing (both conventional olympics and LRPG sword fighting). Postcrossing is getting back into the list as well. Spend several summers working as instructor in child camps - what an outstanding feeling to see children learn, grow and develop as individuals and as teams. My heart melts in such moments! Job of course takes its toll, but that makes me value my hobbies even more!

I really like postcards with landscapes. It is not that important, if this is a photo, vintage painting or just a pencil drawing, but if you have a postcard with a landscape in your pocket, I will be glad to get one.

If you want, leave a return address, so I will share my local landscape view with you! Or I can share a landscape from my travels and sailing - just tell me what would you prefer.

Though, if there is nothing like that within your immediate reach, don't worry - I will be very happy to get a message from you anyway!

It would be really nice if you could write a legend, tale, fable or urban myth about a place you are writting from - it may not necessarily be a true fact, but something mystic and interesting!

Yes, the last bit - if you speak German, write in German, please. I study it now and additional practice will come in handy.

(Hell, am I really THAT demanding?!) ;)

Well, looking forward to hearing from you! Or I am glad you've received a line from me!

Anyway, goodbye, good luck, and good posting!

Vladimir.
