About Aline...

Hello,

How exciting it is to discover, through Postcrossing, places from all over the world and to share time and words with people I would have never "met"...

I live in Burgundy (famous worldwide for its wines !).
My town, Chalon sur Saône, is where Nicéphore NIEPCE invented photography. So we can thank him ! :)
I love traveling (French Caribbean Isles -Martinique, Guadeloupe-, Réunion, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Brasilia, Spain, UK, Greece (3 times -recently on Kos island), Crete, Sahara desert mainly) - 19 countries in total- , tasting local food and drink.

I am 57. I have an amazing and very kind cat, LOULOU, replacing my funny and talkative MAYA, who passed at the age of 7. But I love dogs too and my wonderful, clever and kind Labrador female, NORA, who died at the age of nearly 14, will stay forever in my heart.

During my free time, I produce my own soaps and more recently small leather accessories.

My main interests concern :

- landscapes (and if I am lucky enough to get a card from a rare country, this is what I would prefer to receive if possible)
- antebellum houses and covered bridges + New York monuments (USA)
- old monuments / castles
- typical animals of your country : I would love to receive panda, tapir, elephant, lion, tiger, monkey, girafe, whales or other wild animals (can be insects too). I have already received stork, owls, deer and hedgehog (BY), tarsier (PH), lambs and Tui(NZ), manatees(USA), orangutan (MY), tree frog (AU), reindeers (FI) and kangaroo.

I am not interested in Christmas cards, Easter cards, drawings, cartoons, ad-cards, free cards, hand-made cards (sorry).

Special request : can you let me know the name of a main course or dessert typical from your country which I could easily cook ? I would love to try it.

I look forward to receiving next postcard...

Bonne journéee = Have a nice day

Aline
