Hi there,

I enjoy sending postcards from my "normal life" much more than when I'm on holiday, so I'm looking forward to sending snippets about what life is like in Amsterdam to people all over the world!

I'm German but have been living in the Netherlands for almost two years. I'm a language lover, and luckily I was able to turn my hobby into my profession: I'm a freelance conference interpreter. Other than languages, I enjoy reading, traveling (former Soviet Union countries are a favorite), sports and occasional bursts of creative energy that result in various DIY projects.

You could make my day by sending me a postcard with
- clouds
- trees
- a human being in mid-air (jumping from a diving board or jumping a puddle, for example)
- hot-air balloons.

If you don't have any of those, why not a postcard with something in your language on it (e.g. a poem)?
