Hello!
How nice it is to send and receive post, it's like magic to me! Since I was a child I loved writing letters, writing my diary and being amazed about the travels of papers.

I'm 44 and living in The Netherlands, the eastern part, near the German border, where there is city life but also a quiet countryside close by. Enschede is the biggest city of this region, I live here with around 160.000 other people. There's a (Technical) University, other higher educational levels and there are many exchange students. The city used to be famous for its textile industry.
I have a very sweet and social Siamese cat, her name is Mae. I try to be open minded, and am curious, sensitive, creative and interested in people, languages and cultures.

I love to write, read, travel, walk in nature and dance. Sometimes I do yoga or meditation. Like good ( if possible planet friendly) food, herbs, cooking, art and wine. I love poetry, trees. I bake my own healthy (sugar)free, vegan cookies for fun, I share and send them to friends, also outside my country. Many years ago I got a master's degree on Islamic history and architecture/art, I have no job in that area, but I never lost interest (nor for any other culture). I discovered that creative writing is my passion and writing poetry. People too:-)
I have travelled some, have visited many countries in Europe (France, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republik, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Cyprus, England, Scotland) but there is still so much to discover), and I have seen all parts of Turkey, went there about 6 times, have been to Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Indonesia (2x). I have walked the camino to Santiago 3 times (Portugese way, part of the camino del Norte and camino Fisterre & Ingles).
In jan-march 2018 I travelled to Uganda, Turkey and Israel for 2,5 months.

Now I work as an advisor for a company and give courses in small groups in creative writing and being an editor on request. My partner lives in Belgium, so I still travel (if possible):-)
These are crazy times in the world... Covid-19, the fear, the lockdowns and the worries. I hope you are healthy and doing well!
