About Tussismum...

Dear postcrossing-friends,

My name is Louise. I grew up in Stockholm, but after having studied and worked in various places in Sweden and parts of Europe, I have settled in a small town in the beautiful southwest of Sweden, where I now live with my family.

I love to travel, and do it as much as possible. Sadly however, there will never be enough holiday and money to go to all the places in the world I would like to go to. Sending and recieving postcards is a way for me to experience and discover at least a tiny part of places I would like to go or never heard of. Another reason I joined postcrossing is that I have a daugther (that goes by the nickname Tussi), 6 years old, who loves to recieve postcards and mail (and always complains there´s no mail for her ;-)). And last, I love the idea of people from all over the world connecting through a simple postcard and the feeling of being invited to share a little piece of the everyday life of another human being. I´d like to show my children that there is a big, wonderful world out there to explore, lots of great and interesting people to get to know and endless different ways to live your life.

Here are some tips of what kind of postcards we will find especially interesting and fun:

Landscapes or street views from your hometown or home country
Reproduction of a painting from a famous artist/painter from your country
Picture of a plant or flower that grows in your country
Picture of a famous/important person from your country
Picture of a (wild) animal that lives in your country
Pictures of a holiday or tradition from your country
- well, in short, something that is typical for the country or place you live

If you can't find or don't want to send a card from the list above, choose a card that you think is pretty or cool or just nice. We put the cards we recieve on a shelf by the dinner table, so we can see them and talk about them.

If you want to, you can write something about the motive of your postcard or something about yourself and your life. Or name an artist and a song from your country that you like, we will try to find it on youtube or spotify and listen to it.

Looking forward of your postcard :-)
Greetings,

Tussi´s mum
