My name Ton and I live in The Netherlands. I am 63 years old.

From birth I have been mentally retarded and my hearing is bad. Six years ago in a period of time of about six month I became blind. That's why I cannot write this profile myself and my niece (Liesanne) helps me with it.

I work at a special area where I put surprises in little eggs which go in the chocolate eggs you can buy around the world. I really love my job and I go there 3 times a week. The other days I go to a group where we make all kind of creative things.

When I still could see I loved traveling and I went to many places, especially there where the sun shines a lot. I liked to make pictures and home-videos from that places. Now I am blind I still go on holidays but not that far. Most of the times in the Netherlands and sometimes I also go Germany.

My niece Liesanne (the one who writes this profile) is a great admirer from me. I had a lot of bad luck in my live and I never was sad or down. She thinks I am gifted because I always look on the bright sight of live. But she also noticed lately that since my hearing deteriorates I am a bit lonely and she hopes that postcards all over the world will cheer me up a bit, because I am a person who likes to laugh a lot.

Because my niece does not visit me every day (a few times a month), there can be a little delay in registering the card. I apologize for that of course and hope you forgive me.

I really don't mind what kind of cards you send me. I love animals (I did horse riding when I still could see), but I also pictures of your homeland, place where you live, something you made yourself are all welcome. Please tell me how you live, what you do for a living, what your hobbies are, your family situation etc. etc.
