Hello Postcrossing world

I'm a literature and linguistics student living in Ghent with my boyfriend and our cat Sinatra.
As 95% of all postcrossers, I like reading, art and travelling.
I'm also interested in foreign languages. I have a major in German and Scandinavian studies. Of all Scandinavian languages, I only speak Swedish, but I can read Norwegian, and Danish too. This semester I'm also taking Spanish and Icelandic. My aim is to understand (and speak) 10 languages. I'm almost there! I really wanted to take a Spanish course, because there are a lot of Spanish tourists visiting Ghent, and I wanted to be able to listen to their conversations on public transport, eavesdropping is my number one hobby when walking in the city.

As you can see, I'm a member for quite a long time now, but haven't send that many postcards. This is because I moved a lot and studied at Lund University in Sweden for a while. Sometimes I just don't feel like sending anything, because it's a rather expensive hobby aswell - and it's commonly known that students don't have that much money.

About the postcards, there are things I really like:
- children's book characters: moomins, Pettson and Findus, Nils Holgerson, Nijntje/Miffy,...
- retro photos
- penguins
- giraffes
- koala bears
- cats
- paintings
- illustrations
- old movie posters
- cosy rooms and stuff
- ...

... But I like to be surprised, so send me whatever you like, but please no tourist cards.
