I read articles about this postcrossing project and thought it would be funny to send postcards across the world and enjoy others, and get myself poscards from places, I probably will never ever visit myself.

I like to receive any kind of postcard. Well, the more it is typical for your country or region (e.g. buildings, dresses, landscape, meals, ...), the better.
I often read, people do not like ad-cards. Well, why not - as long as it is typical for your area or country I will be happy as well.
