About Lucka...

Hi there,
I'm Lucy and I´m a big admirer of beautiful words. That´s why I love good books (G.G.Marquez, Tolkien, sir Terry Pratchett, C.S.Lewis etc.)...I read everywhere!

Have you learned some cool new word? Untranslatable? Or you just like the sound it makes when you pronouce it? Then be so kind and write it! :) (I like words like petrichor, esperluette, still life, cafuné and appel du vide...confused? just google it! ;)
If there is any special quote you enjoy, let me know! And please, write me your name meaning! :)

I also like chocolate, autumn, hot tea, wearing skirts and dresses, coffee, dots and unexpected postcards :) 3 years ago I started to learn traditional Slovak folk dances and I fell in love with them!

If you struggle with choosing the right postcard for me, you can get your inspiration from this list:
- your local proverbs and sayings (with translation:),
- <3 Russian beauty edition (Russian women in folk clothes),
- illustrations,
- <3 foxes,
- dancing people,
- rock´n´roll, swing and 30s, 40s, 50s... (Jerry Lee Lewis, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean etc.),
- <3 vintage, art nouveau and pin-up postcards,
- yummy things (fruit, cupcakes, macarons, cakes, coffee...),
- quotes and books, books covers (and the Penguin book collection),
- folklore art, fashion...,
- vintage ads / posters,
- old Russian posters,
- memes,
- mountain lakes and precipices,
- Frasier,
- Postcrossers from the USA: I´d love to receive a map of your state, if possible (I already got: Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington),
- Keep calm and...,
- Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire,
- windows, doors, postboxes, streets,
- <3 Discworld cards,
- Christmas cards during November/ December
and everything unusual or peculiar :)

PS: I love tea and it would make me really happy if you could put a tea bag into the envelope - if it won´t make it more expensive, of course :) If you want, I can send you some delicious Slovak tea on exchange, just write it! Thanks in advance!

Thanks :)

AND one of the most important things: feel free to draw something small! :)
If you don´t know what to write, take the nearest book you have on your left side, open it on the page 42 and write me 7th sentence! :) (please don´t forget to write down the name of the book)
Also, if you don´t feel like writing, just draw some doodles you drew in -school notebooks ;) Just be creative and enjoy card writing!

Thanks!
xxx
