About Srini...

Thanks for your valuable time! It is not your choice of card or its theme on the front that matters the most to me. I find beauty in your selection of words, and how you have chosen to express yourself. A friend used to say a part of the person's soul is reflected in their writing and I can't agree more on that. I am aware of the constraints that some of you go through to fulfill what is otherwise a simple wish of sending a postcard. In some places exchanging postcards is a dispensable luxury. Consequently, anything that you send with thoughtful words and mindful actions would be cherished well by me.

* However, if you have the time, resources, and the intention to search for a card of my tastes, then I hope that you look for characteristics that could be termed aesthetic, exclusive, timely, peaceful, blissful, witty, photographic, sensuous, mind-bending, self-clicked, complex, erotic, one-of-a-kind, artistic, unusual, self-made, esoteric, pleasant, deeply thoughtful, simple, philosophical, timeless, passionate, immense, historical, wonderful, joyful, life-changing, admirable, contemporary, sexual, classic, uplifting, racy, modern, forgiving, optimistic, adventurous, influential, rare, thought-provoking, creative, mysterious, poetic, worldly, and even out this world!

The above list is subjective. Not in spite of, but precisely because of that reason, I eagerly look for the card that YOU believe would fit into any or many of the above characteristics.

* If you have any cards portraying in black and white or sepia (or colour as subsequent option) Audrey Tautou, Tibetan monks, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean calligraphy, Mahatma Gandhi, Charlie Chaplin, Leon Trotsky, Mao Tse-tung, Che Guevara, Vivaldi, Mother Theresa, Monica Bellucci, Aung San Suu Kyi, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, Buddha, Tagore, Subramanya Bharathi, Scarlett Johansson, Leonardo da Vinci, Ruskin Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Parsis of India, RK Narayan, Tom and Jerry, Tintin, or Laurel and Hardy, I would cherish those so greatly that I am unable to thank you in words!

* Feel free to write in the language that you would like to express yourself the most with independent of whether I can read it. I'll eventually know your thoughts :)

* Born and raised in India, and now living in Australia I am reasonably well travelled - though always wanting more. Consequently the usual touristy cards or the ones with multi-city views do not appeal much to me.

Lastly, don't worry if you think you don't have any card that would fulfil my wishes. You'll be pleasantly surprised. As mentioned before, your thoughtful words are what that would last and would bring me immense joy.

Cheers
the "boy" from Malgudi :)
