About Ola...

Hello! I'm Tayani, I'm a girl from Poland.

I'm an avid traveller, bookworm, theatre-lover and writer.

I love Japan (I lived there for a while), especially the more traditional side of it. I climbed Mt. Fuji to see the sunrise from the top; I like calligraphy, ikebana, literature; my favourite poet is Nakahara Chuuya. I saw Yuzuru Hanyu perform during the 2017 World Figure Skating Championships in Helsinki and I love One Piece and Persona 5.

I love reading and would love to know your favourite books! My current top-of-the-list ones are the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers and Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko. Have you heard of them? If not, I highly recommend!

If you're looking for further inspiration on what to write to me about, let me know what the weather is like where you're from; what kind of tea you like (you can also include a bag! I'd like to try it :)). Let me know what types of pets you have (I have two cats!), what you enjoy doing in your free time, what made you smile today and what's your favourite colour. In general, I'll be happy to learn more about you!

I'm generally happy with most postcards I get (maybe except for the ad/free ones), but if you like to have some recommendations about what kind of postcard to send me:

- anything Japan related
- manga&anime, especially Persona 5, One Piece or Pokemon
- anything related to books, writing or stationery
- theatre, West End musicals (Phantom of the Opera is an all-time favourite)
- Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia
- cats, especially art of cats
- landscapes, Aurora Borealis, lightning, fjords
- cards in unique/unpopular shapes

Feel free to instead send me a letter; cards in an envelope are also a-okay if you like sending them this way :)

Lastly - if you include your return address, I usually send a card back!
