My name is Svitlana. I really like postcrossing because you can communicate with people from all over the world, learn something about their life or the customs of their country, culture. My daughter Oleksandra and I love to choose a postcard, design it, write interesting texts about our family or traditions - depending on the recipient's wishes. Every postcard in the mailbox brings a lot of happiness.

But with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I was completely disappointed in the postcrossing policy. The one who says that the postcrossing is out of politics has probably never woken up to the wail of sirens and the sounds of explosions, never feared so much for his family and never gave birth to children in a basement under russian fire.

Yes, not all russians shell Ukraine and fight here. But those who are now in russia support this war. Listen to what they say on their state TV channels. They want to destroy us, Poland, Estonia and bring the whole of Europe to its knees. Read the surveys - more than 70% of russians support the government's actions. These people put automatic weapons in the hands of murderers and then go to write postcards to you with blood on their hands, and you say that postcrossing is out of politics. Murderers and those who support and provide for them are not allowed to associate freely with normal people. Only collective responsibility for a collective crime will make these inhumans think.

We are sincerely grateful for all the kind words and support that postcrossers from all over the world write to us. It is very important for us to know that people are aware of the cruelty and injustice of the war that Russia is waging against us. Every postcard we find in the mailbox gives us a ray of happiness. So thank you very very very much 💕

If the admins of the site start threatening to delete the profile and try to force the text to be changed, as they often do, I will just leave the postcrossing.

Supporting murderers and terrorists is a shame. Therefore, russians do not have the right to express themselves freely and enjoy the same benefits as peaceful people.
