Hello Postcrossers!

I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada (one of the warmest places in Canada) with my husband and my dogs Professor Pickles (my avatar) and Pollywog and my cat Moogie. I am very lucky to have both my grown daughters and one son-in-law living in Victoria as well. I enjoy hiking and walking. I love reading and enjoy movies TV dramas especially those set in the past, in different countries or in settings which I know nothing about. I have two grown daughters. My oldest is an artist. I admire artistic talent but sadly have none.

I am interested in learning about other parts of the world and what life is like there. I also love to laugh.

For postcards I love to receive cards that represents the sender or the place they are sent from whether it is a favorite artist, a favorite food, a famous landmark or landscape, traditional dress, indigenous peoples, crafts, wildlife or plants. I particularly like cards with paintings. I like castles or marvelous old buildings as we don't have much in the way of castles or ancient buildings in Canada especially on the west coast where the oldest buildings are only about 150 years old.

I also like funny cards and pictures of animals. I love Donald Duck and ducks in general as well as little and big cats are a favorite, cougars, jaguars, leopards, etc. as well as otters. I love the Inge Look Aunties postcards, and the blue cats and the tabi-neko (travel cats) series.

I am happy to receive home made cards and/or your sketches, drawings or other artistic endeavors. Whatever card you send will be perfect!

I would also love it if you would share something about yourself and your interests - what do you like or admire - maybe a favorite quote, your favorite book, movie or TV show or maybe your hero or someone particularly wonderful in your life.

I collect stamps so very happy to see interesting and colourful stamps and to get cards in envelopes.
