Hi, dear friends!

I've just got to know about this wonderful site and about postcrossing in general. The idea is absolutely marvelous!

In my childhood there were no Internet, no messengers and e-mails, so we did exchange real letters with our friends. It is one of the most exciting things I remember: finding a letter or postcard in my postbox! These situations were even more emotive because of physical nature of the letter: it was so touchable, so long-awaited; it had a smell of travelling! And of course, it contained news from my distant friends!

And the same important and pleasant business was writing an answer. I gave all my attention to every detail of my letter: I loved composing a message, I loved putting it on the beautiful writing-paper, I was crazy about special envelopes with lovely images on them. Post-offices had mail sets on sale, they consisted of decorated writing-paper and of envelopes of the same design; it was a great luck if Mom allowed me to buy such a set! It was consumed very sparingly.

And especial pleasure was sending and receiving holiday cards! I dare to suggest, that a half of the Christmas spirit depended on postcards (while Father Frost still was responsible for another half :)) It was lost when I grown up and stoped to send real postcards as well as receive them.

But now I will be very happy to revive this wonderful feeling and to help other people to do this!

You may send me absolutely any postcard you like, I'm not tough to please and I like surprises! :)
But if it is diffucult for you to choose and you want some hints, I like, for example, postcards with some words in your language (like a little dictionary or just an inscription - I'll be happy to translate it by myself =)), or alphabet.

I also like map postcards, views from your place (multiview is also good! :), or any schema)
