Stampcard

Hi everyone,

my name is Martin, and I live in Bonn, Germany. Before that I lived in Belgium for many years and for a short time in France, and also for many years in the US, where I went to school and college. My three children are more or less grown up, but are still a big "hobby". I love languages and like to travel.

I have worked for many years for organisations that support human rights and people with disabilities as well as for young people. I am interested in social and political issues, and love postcards with a "message". Of course also nice pictures of cities and landscapes that would be worth visiting some day.

It would be really nice would be if you put an interesting postage stamp on the postcard, since I collect them. That's why I chose "Stampcard" as my name for Postcrossing.

I like Postcrossing bcause it is an interesting re-invention of "old-fashioned" postcard-writing together with the modern possibilities of the internet, to allow new forms of international contact and exchange.

Again, here my preferences:
- postcards with a "message" (social, political, cultural)
- nice pictures of cities and landscapes worth visiting some day
- famous churches or historic buildings
I also like art, music, and trains.
I do not like most multiviews, since the images are generally too small to appreciate.

Please note that I collect stamps, so some nice and unsual stamps will make me very happy.
