About Spencer...

Hi there, everyone! My name is Spencer, and i am a cancer survivor, with a love for travel, sports, collecting (stamps, coins, sports cards, and of course, postcards), music, creating art, and making new friends.

My favourite musicians include Corey Hart (the Canadian singer from the 80s), Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas, P!nk, and Jonathan Roy. My favourite DJs include: DJ Rush'n Noiz, and DJ 1Love.

My favourite professional sports teams include the Ottawa Senators (NHL), Montreal Canadiens (NHL), Toronto Blue Jays (MLB), New York Giants (NFL), Kansas City Chiefs (NFL), Ottawa Redblacks (CFL), Montreal Alouettes (CFL), and Ottawa and Montréal in the newly established PWHL.

I also support the Canadian teams we send to international competitions, such as our Men's and Women's Soccer, Hockey and Rugby teams. The Canadian Jr Hockey Team is one of the most exciting groups i have ever seen.

I work as a Security Guard (concierge type) at a small office building in Ottawa, and since the Pandemic hit, i have a bit more time on my hands, so this seems like a wonderful way to fill in the gaps in action throughout my day.

I have not traveled extensively, but i can say that i have dipped my feet in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The furthest South i have been in the Continental United States, is Las Vegas and Arizona (The Hoover Dam, to be precise), where i actually stood in both States at the same time. I wish now that i had gotten a picture of that moment, but you know how it is, when you're young, you don't always think things through. I was born in Northern Manitoba, so that is the furthest North i have ever been, and i was raised in a little place called Thunder Bay, in NW Ontario, before moving to Toronto in the late 1990s, and then to Ottawa in 2000. I love my city, and am proudly "transplanted" here. My favourite city to visit, hands down, is Montreal, Quebec. The only downside i find in Montreal is the huge amounts of construction all the time, and the traffic jams it creates. But other than that, the people always makes me feel welcome and at home. I have never been Overseas, but i plan to do so at least once in my lifetime. I would love to visit Italy, the UK and Spain.

Would love a dragonfly postcard, as it's my "unicorn card" but all are welcome. I love flags, and sunflowers, cats, and dogs, as well as tourist-y kinds of cards that show what your city or country is known for.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, wherever you are, and that you enjoy the postcards (and stamps!) i send out.

Peace!
Spencer
