G'day, I'm Brooke. I'm 25 years old and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I am currently studying a Master of Teaching (Secondary) where I hope to become a High School English and Drama teacher. My first Master's was in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing - my true passion - and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Industries where I majored in Creative Writing and Performance Studies with a minor in Media.

For my Master's thesis, I examined the different master-slave relationships presented in J.K. Rowling’s 'Harry Potter' series. These relationships included the protagonist, Harry, as a Slave to his foster family, the Dursleys, and to Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts. Both Masters used Harry to fulfill their own desires. House-elves were a more obvious example of a master-slave relationship as they are bound to serve one family forever. The third case study argued that Lord Voldemort used his position as a Master to control his Death Eaters (Wormtail and Draco Malfoy in particular) and threatened them with death if they do not fulfill his demands. I then related my findings back to domestic violence in Young Adult Literature. Yes, I love Harry Potter that much!

I have had four short stories published in journals, such as Platform and Offset and I was awarded the Highly Commended award for Adult Short Story at the Brimbank Writers Awards in 2015.

I am hoping to receive postcards with either your favourite recipes, book recommendations or your favourite quote from a book written on them.

As for the style of postcard I'm pretty happy with anything. I would, however, love any of the following postcards:
