Skapis

"Skapis" means "Closet". We are a group of LGBTIQ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transpeople, intersex and queer-gender), who provide information and support for LGBTIQ youth (and not only youth), their friends, relatives and anyone interested, in three languages - Latvian, Russian and English.
In our country, there are many stereotypes and prejudices about LGBTIQ people, and we just want to show the way we really are. We run the website www.skapis.eu

We are different people, we have different hobbies, we do different things. But we share the common vision of the world as a safe place for diversity and creativity, freedom and respect to one another.

We are excited by the idea of Postcrossing because it shows that the world is very diverse and sooooo interesting!!!

We would love to receive any postcard, especially a postcard about:
* LGBTIQ
* Pride
* human rights
* different cultures of the world
* something you personally value and find interesing in the world
* beauty of all kinds :)

We appreciate a message of support, but if you do not support us, it's ok. Just write to us what you think about human rights, freedom, diversity and gender. Or just tell us about your country's culture and mainstream attitude to LGBTIQ. Or just write to us what helps you feel special and great :)
