About Darya...

Hi, I'm Darya!
As you already know I am from Belarus. And I will try to describe myself, so that you could imagine what my life is!

I study in Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, so I'm fond of this field!

Three things, that I enjoy doing most are communication, reading and handiwork. Frankly speaking, I consider communication to be one of the most important parts of my life! I believe that you can hardly be successful in life if you are not able to communicate effectively. Not only does it help us to learn something about people around but also teaches us some new things about ourselves. As for reading, it is one key to real life. Books can teach me, make me cry and laugh, make me hate and love… When I read, I can’t hear and see anything else, because books have their own world and I plunge into it.

And as for handiwork, this hobby appeared in my life not long ago. I started with greeting cards for my nearest ones and now I create a big variety of things. This process helps me to reveal my personality and, probably, to enrich it!

While reading I like to eat tangerines and ice cream. I love Harry Potter. I adore the smell of cinnamon. Before going to sleep I often go out on my balcony to see, how cold it’s outside, and quickly run back to feel the warmth inside. I like the lights of my city in the evening. I like pictures with patterns, umbrellas, old bicycles, cars, watches and clocks and mailboxes. I'm crazy about all retro things and postcards as well. My favourite painter is Gustav Klimt (Austria). My favourite font in 'Word' is 'Curlz MT'. I like to make small surprises for people.

If you are going/would like to send me a postcard I will appreciate if you tell a short (it’s impossible to write a long :)) interesting story connected with your postcrossing experience or with the card you’re sending to me or just something amazing and magical you’d like to tell! And in my turn I'll try to do the same, because I believe our life is brighter if we have some good stories to know and to tell!

(For those, who don't use Cyrillic or Roman alphabet could you please write my name in your language! Special thanks! <3)

Well, probably that’s all I want you to know! :)

Best regards and wonderful postcrossing ,
Darya.
