Hello to everyone, my Name is Saskia and I'm 27 years old. I live in Rees, the oldest city in the lower Rhine-Area. In Cleve I study International Taxation in English.

At school I learned English, French and Dutch, but unfortunately my French is not that good anymore. At the moment I try to learn some Italian, but it is still at the very beginning.

One of my favourite hobbies is travelling. I have visited a lot of states in western Europe and because flights are cheap in Germany, it will become more and more. Since Rees and Cleve are near the Dutch border, I often visit the Dutch beach with friends in summer. Every time I'm on Holiday I send a postcard to myself, because I love receiving postcards from all over the world.

That's the reason why I registered for postcrossing!

Also, I'm interested in photography (i.e. the picture of my Avatar is from me), the opera (this year I visited the Semperoper in Dresden, it was great) and the history of cinema. I like old Hollywood movies and even silent movies, but of course I like the new films, too. The way this medium developed is amazing.

And of course, as a woman, I enjoy fashion and searching for new trends.

Maybe I could learn something about countries I haven't heard about yet, i.e you tell me something about a public holiday in your country or something about yourself. Or you share one of your favourite recipes with me?

I always enjoy trying new recipes (but no German ones with Sauerkraut and a lot of meat (I'm vegetarian), etc.) and share the meals with my friends.

I will be happy about every postcard I receive, so you may surprise me?!
