Hello everyone,

My name is Sarah and I'm 23 years old. I'm student and I want to become a teacher for German, History and English. I'm living near Kassel in Germany. Kassel is kind of famous for two things: the Documenta (an modern art exhibition) and the biggest raccon population in Europe (most of the people don't like them... I totally love them, one of the most amazing animals).

As you can see at my subjects at university, I'm very interested in history as well as in architecture. I love to travel and would possibly do it the whole year if I had the money for it :D I would love to visit New Zealand, Scandinavia, the USA, Wales, North Ireland and many, many more countries. In the last seven years I traveled to England, Scotland, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Malta, Italy, San Marino and Canada.

Reading is another hobby of me. There is no better way to spend a rainy day than reading a good book. I'm a big fan of detective fiction, especially from Great Britain. But one of my all time favourite book series is Harry Potter.

I love animals. I went to Canda last year to work at a wildlife rehab centre. Since then I'm in love with raccons. But there is nearly no animal I don't like. Okay, I'm afraid of spiders, but that's it. I had and have a few animals myself: dogs, a horse, mice, budgies, a hamster and a cat.

Last but not least I love to write and receive letters and postcards. I'm not a big fan of e-mails or sms (of course I'm using it, but I think it's more personal to write by hand). Therefore I love the idea of this project and just decided to try it.

I'm looking forward to receive a postcard from you! :) I'm very interested in postcards which are showing typical landscapes from your country, special buildings from your home town or typical wildlife. But I'm happy about everything you would like to send me :)
