About Riho...

Updated on March 14th, 2020

Hi I'm Riho from Tokyo, Japan. (Elizabeth is my unofficial middle name that my host family in California gave me!) I'm working full time at the overseas sales department of a Japanese company that manufactures electric components.

I've been interested in lots of cultures from all over the world. I started studying English when I was 12, and it made me realize how fun to talk to people who speak English. In Japan, especially in my hometown, there are few foreign people and it's hard to find people from different countries, so I'm hoping to get connected to people from all over the world here on Postcrossing.

From August 2012 to June 2013, I studied abroad in California, which is the biggest experience that has made who I am. I studied at University of California, Riverside, Extension for a month, then transferred to California State University, Bakersfield and studied there for an academic year.

I like traveling! The countries I have been to are the US, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Turkey, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Russia. Now I'm working full time, so it's hard to find enough time to travel, but I try! Traveling gives me new views of things!

Here's my wish list:
-flowers (pink, blue, purple. bouquets. flower fields with tons of flowers)
-cupcakes, macaroons and all the yummy and cute sweets
-airplanes/airlines/airports/flight attendants
-love (heart, ♡, pink, red, etc)
-something colorful or bright
-something blue, pink, purple
-"The Little Prince"
-something positive written in your language (In this case, please write the translation)
-Turnowsky's Art
-postal things (postmen, stamps, mailboxes. officially sold by your country's mail service is welcomed!)
-birthday card around September 12 (the one in your language please, if possible)
-season's greetings New year, Christmas etc

If you live in the US, "Greetings from..." vintage series of states and cities in the US (like "Greetings from California") are appreciated!

If you live in Finland and if it's possible, send me a Moomin postcard!

You could answer those questions if you want to
-Where/How did you meet your wife/husband?
-What do you like about her/him?
-What is "love" for you?

Please write the date!
