My name is Jamie from the glorious nation of Holland. Our dear supreme leader is Mark Rutte.
We are known for stamppot, weed, Heineken, ''kijken kijken, niet kopen'', the inspection shelf, eating frikandel out of a wall and yes also tulips and windmills 🙃
It is my dream to travel this world and see many places. But I know I can't go everywhere, and getting a card from somewhere makes it feel a little bit like i'm there myself. I like to get to know new people and learn about their interests and culture.
I know you can also just chat with people on the internet... but postcards are way more fun!! 🎉
Every postcard I receive is a wonderful and unique gift and it makes me happy to know someone took their time to write and send something to a stranger 😃
There are a few kinds of postcards I like the most, because they are related to my interests. I really like history, so any card of a historical event from your country is very welcome. I'm mostly interested in the Second World War and 20th century in general, but any time period is interesting to me! Or something like a vintage travel poster, propaganda posters, real vintage postcards (if they are so old that they almost break, you can put it in an envelope.)

I also like transport related cards, cars (my pfp is BRUM), planes, tractors, bikes, trains, ships, you name it!
And also those tourist postcards with one or multiple photos of your city/town are very welcome. If you want a fun challenge: walk around your area, find the most cheesy, kitsch postcard you can find and send it to me! 😉
And some other topics that I like a lot are for example, animals from your country, national clothing, native tribe,Tausendschön, artworks or art parodies, recipe cards of a national dish, handmade cards, funny, a holiday or other big celebration celebrated in your country or region (think St Patricks day, Chinese New Year, Día de los Muertos etc etc) though I would prefer of the big international holidays like Christmas, to receive those kinds of cards only in the appropiate time (but the national holidays are fine anytime) I'm not really in the Christmas mood already hahaha
I would be happy to receive almost any kind of card. Just use your common sense to determine if the card is suitable for a 14 year old 😉 I'm fine with naked people in art, or not too spicy pin up girls. Just no hardcore NSFW please

What always makes me the most happy, is the message. So I would be happy if you could write more than just Happy Postcrossing. If you don't know English well, you can write me in your language if it's of the Latin alphabet and write it clear so I can use Google Translate to turn it into English. Some ideas about what to write: a fun fact, your hobbies, a recipe, your favorite music, a word from your language, someone you admire, a thing about your culture which you think I don't know yet, or anything else 😀
