Hallo postcrossers!

I was born in and live close to The Hague in the Netherlands. Married, 2 adult daughters, a cat and a dog. I like to read, walk, swim, cook and craft (paper, ink, yarn and fabrics). I am a genealogist, a time-detective for family history. I also make websites. I love history and my favorite period is the middle ages, with a special interest in the Hanseatic trade, towns and travels. If you live in or near a "Hanzestad" it would be fantastic if you could send me a picture postcard from your town.
I will however be very happy with exactly the card you are kind enough to send me.

As a child I collected 3D ("depth") cards and frankly they still delight my inner child :-)
I make 'papierschnitte' (traditionals, black on white paper cuttings) cards myself and like originals but also reproductions of those.
I'm enchanted by the poetic beauty of Japanese culture and style and if you are from/near there I'll be delighted with any card, paper, envelope, stamp, seal, scrap of fabric or yarn, coin, sticker, button, origami or anything small you can think of/like to send me from Japan.
