Hi to you, reading my profile!

After being absent on Postcrossing for a few years, I am back! I started Postcrossing when I still lived with my parents, but when I moved to a student dorm I stopped. I didn't like the idea of all your nice postcards being in my shared mailbox. But now I am graduated, I have got a job and I am moving to my own place. Big changes ahead!

So, who am I? I'm Renee and I am a 23 year old PhD candidate in educational sciences. In complicated terms my research focuses on self-regulated learning in open online education. Self-regulated learning means reflecting on how you are learning: planning, monitoring if you understand what you are learning, asking for help. Open online education is involved with the current trend towards learning from a distance and free online courses.

Next to all these complicated things I am overall a very cheerful person whose signature is the (almost) ever present big smile on my face. Most of my spare time I spend with friends, drinking tea and chatting all night long. I also like watching movies and horseback riding.

I would love to use the postcards you send me to decorate my apartment. Think: bright and colourful, funny sayings, and/or cards "officially" meant for children ;).

Please accept these wishes: I like my cards written & stamped and I prefer standard size postcards (10x15cm / 4x6inch).
