About Pip...

Hello there!

I am a person who prefers to look on the bright side of life. There are many things I like to do, to see and to experience. I like to read, I like to write, I like to think, I like to dream; I like to talk, I like to listen. I like to see the sunrise in the morning, I like to see the moonlight at night; I like to smell the wind coming from the ocean. I like to look at the clouds in the sky with a blank mind.
I like flowers in spring, rain in summer, leaves in autumn, and snow in winter; I like to be alone, I like to be surrounded by people. I like country’s peace, I like metropolis’ noise; I like comfortable shoes; I like good books and romantic movies.
And, I like to laugh and eat chocolate (a lot).

Now at bit more about me, myself and I:
My name is Pip ( I know..it is a rare name), I am 22 years old and the Netherlands is my home country. At the moment I am in my fourth year of Medical School at the Leiden University.

Furthermore, my hobbies are to play the piano, playing 'rummikub' with my grandma (a game for old and young, and oh my..my grannie is fanatical! ), travelling, university rowing, to roller blade in the polder (typical dutch environment you see on postcards, with meadows, cows, mills, et cetera ) and reading lots of books ( if you have a recommendation: Tell me!)

I have been to India in the summer of '14 to volunteer at a school near the Himalayas. It was a beautiful experience: Climbing the Himalaya and spending a night on it in a tent, visiting the Taj Mahal ( which was jaw-dropping) and so many other fascinating things and experiences.
During this summer I have caught the Wanderlust...
In November '17 I have been to Tanzania for a clinical clerkship in a hospital near the Kilimanjaro and I am already planning to go back there!

I am happy with any card to receive, although I would prefer a card with the nature of your country/a typical meal of your country or a vintage card ( or a ridiculous one ;) ).

I would like the end this blabla about me, myself and I with my favourite quote of my favourite movie ‘Forrest Gump’ (if you haven’t seen it yet: WATCH IT!):
"Life is just like a box of chocolates; You never know what you are going to get..."

Happy Postcrossing!

Pip
