About Piotr...

Dear postcrosser,
Thanks for reading this))
My name is Piotr and I live in St. Petersburg, Russia. I am a retired research scientist (aquatic biology).
I love and collect various cards but my main dreams are:

*UNESCO World Heritage Sites (both natural and cultural, including Tentative list)
*UNESCO Intangible Heritage
*National parks, nature reserves and other protected areas
*Wild animals & plants (from bacteria to primates; the most ‘ugly’ creatures - worms, flies, spiders, snakes, rats, etc. - are welcome))
*Buddhism, Hinduism, Himalayas, India, Nepal, Tibet, Central Asia.
*Caves, exotic islands
*Map cards, state symbols)
*Archaeology; megalithic constructions, rock paintings and carvings;
*Bestiary (mermaids, dragons, centaurs, etc.) and cryptozoology (Kraken, yeti-bigfoot-snow man, Nessie, etc.)
*Paintings: Henri Rousseau, Rockwell Kent, Nicholas Roerich, Svetoslav Roerich

On these topics I collect everything - stamps, cards, maxicards, first day covers, special cancelations, etc.

I am not picky about the type of the card – any size, any shape, any age, in the cover or without it. I love maxicards. Free ad cards, folded cards if they fit topics listed above are OK. Creative hand-made cards and covers (mail art), alternative stamps are welcome. I do not share the principle “no Taj Mahal from Germany, please” – the card may be from any country, not necessary from your homeland. The only thing I really do not like are 3D “stereo” cards. Please, save 3D for those who enjoy them.
But, of course, any your card will be a joy for me.

My favs are the mix of cards I already received and those I would like to receive.

Thank you very much in advance))
Piotr
