About Naomi...

Hi there fellow post-crosser

My name is Naomi, I am 44 and I was born and raised in South Africa. I moved to the Netherlands in September 2011 and live here with my Dutch husband of 19 years, daughter Emma, who is 7 and my 2 Siberian huskies Luka and Keana (Kiki). I do have bigger ties to Europe as my father was born in the Czech Republic (Plzen) and moved to South Africa when he was 23. He then married my mom, who was South African. My whole family still lives in South Africa.

In South Africa we participated in sledding with our (then 4) huskies, only the sled was replaced by a cart, and it was called dryland sledding! It was amazing! It is therefore my biggest dream to, one day, go up north (or even Alaska or Canada) and sled in the snow! I would love to attend the Iditarod, not to sled but to be witness of something so amazing.

I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom! And the dogs don't seem to mind either!

I love: animals, nature, travelling, geography; history; photography; cooking; music (one of my weaknesses); shoes (my other weakness); reading; the full moon; winter and snow; Christmas; there is just too many to mention.

My main hobby is quilting, but in the last year I have become an avid crocheter!! I crochet every free moment I get. Therefore, from my birthday month (this September) till August next year, I want to ask if you are a crocheter, will you please, please, please send me a granny square / block with my postcard. And no, size doesn't matter ;-)

I do appreciate any postcard you send - I do however request that if you send a postcard depicting a town or country, that it is the town or country you live in. It is a bit pointless sending a card of China if you are living in Argentina - defeats the purpose (I have already received two of these)!

Thank you for reading my story! Happy Postcrossings and looking forward to receiving your card!

Best wishes!

Naomi
