Hello world!

My name is Petra, but I am known by almost everyone as Night, short for Nightfalcon. Which is my username with Postcrossing as well.

I choose the name some twenty years ago for a character in a fantasy setting and it stuck. Today it feels even more real to me than my given name.

I work for the German Postal Service (Deutsche Post) and the German Red Cross, teaching First Aid in the evenings or at the weekends.

I love books and spent a lot of time reading nearly everything. But science fiction and fantasy are the genres I prefer the most.

I also love writing - my own stories as well as postcards. so I had to join Postcrossing the instant I came aware it existed.

What sort of cards do I prefer?

I enjoy hippos, (sting)ray, something space/astronaomical, castles, beautiful scenery or a nice townview. Deserts or australian landscapes, Phantom of the Opera-related ones, trees, something with a motivating quote and a nice picture... Be creative. ;-)
