Living in the vibrant city of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
A great place for young people! It is like an 'Amsterdam' without the tourists and with a lot of students:) If you would like to come, in my house there's always room for an extra guest!

In Utrecht, I am managing a newly opened restaurant right outside the city centre. We serve great traditional napolitan style pizza in a nice setting. I love my job because one of my passions is gastronomy, I like to cook and with this of course, also a good glas of wine next to my meal. I've learned a lot on this through a lot of practice;) However, also through my education at the International Hospitality Management school, where I also joined a wine association. My favourite wine could be a Barolo, but for every occasion there is a perfect wine, imho:)

I like spending time in nature. I love the quietness and am fascinated by the workings of it all. That's also why I like to watch nature documentaries and tend to mostly read books related to nature. If it's not something nature related it is something historic/political.

I'm a music enthousiast, I like to listen as much as possible. Some of my favourites now are Dire Straits (and Mark Knofler solo) Walter trout, Snarky Puppy (check it out please!) and Stevie Ray Vaugh. I've had multiple favourites though, in various genres. As I am writing now, Metallica is on. Music can be fully enjoyed only when your 'taste' is explored properly, I believe.

Furthermore I really like learning about other languages. I learned German through a German girlfriend and because I worked for 1,5 years in a French speaking area I picked up some French as well. I really would love to get fully capable in these languages and then go on to learn my next! Italian and Russian are on the top of my wishlist. Maybe you guys can help me with it! I am already very pleased when I can practice my French and German through previous Postcrossings.

My other interests are:
- Football (soccer), I watch nearly all premier league and champignons league games, as well as ofcourse when our national team plays. Football is big in Holland. My team is Ajax Amsterdam btw, they are doing quit ok at the moment of writing this;). In England I chose Liverpool to support.
- Watching internet video's. Realy stupid, but I like supercar channels and I watch the www.dumpert.nl/toppers videos daily.

I joined Postcrossing in the beginning of 2016 after hearing of it for the first time the day before I joined. I got really excited directly! I wish for a lot great experiences and interactions for everybody in this community!

All my received cards will definitely end up on a designated wall in my house. I do not have any preferences for cards, only that I love to be surprised.
