Hello.
I think I will start my introduction traditionally.
My name is Alicja and I came from a forest. Yes, there's no mistake. I live near the small city of Łódź (Poland), in a deserted area.

I like a whole bunch of things and dislike not so many. I absolutely love singing (but only when I'm alone), drawing and painting. Recently I have started making postcards of my own with original drawings. I also enjoy writing but I never finish my stories. And of course I'm keen on music.

If I like writing, I have to be interested in books too, don't I?
So, my favourite are fantasy books but I do not despise the others.

I'm big fan of manga and anime. I love fairy tales and magical or ancient creatures - cryptozoology is something that I love a lot. I'm interested in animals, like spiders, wolves, foxes and snakes.

I would like to travel around the whole world but in my present condition this is a dream that will (maybe :D) never come true. This is one of the reasons why I registered on the postcrossing website; to meet other cultures and know more about them. And to meet other people too (forget that I'm kind of an introvert...).

Actually I'm learning three languages: English, French and Spanish. But I want to learn more, like Russian, Italian, Japanese or Chinese. I tried to learn them myself but it is really difficult to do so.

I would like to receive postcards with landscapes - especially the ones bathed in beautiful light, like sunsets or light in a fog for example - or small things associated with culture of your country (like symbols, animals, traditional craft, fairy tales...). I would be deeply delighted to receive unique, strange or scary postcards, especially drawings and illustrations (these are my favourites). Or with characters of books, films and anime. The fantasy theme is much appreciated (Lord of the Rings, Ghibli movies, Harry Potter and the like). If you don't have any idea which postcard to send me, feel free to look into my favourites :D Most of them I haven't got yet, however please check before you choose one. But the truth is that I'll be happy with any of them. Actually, I am more curious about the person who sends it :)

PS: I will be delighted if you write something on the other side of postcard ;) I'm a fan of personal things but if it makes you uncomfortable write what you like. Maybe a attach a quote ( I'm collecting these), a music title too or just write about the strangest things you have done/seen/heard/read about. If you're an artist or just simply like to draw, you can draw something on the back of the postcard along with or instead of writing ^^
