About Anja...

My name is Anja, I'm 39 years old and I live with my husband in a small town near Cologne, Germany. I work at the Examination Office of a big university. I love to send and receive postcards from all over the world.

I have a pet tarantula and I'm into books, movies, theatre, puzzles, travelling and gaming (World of Warcraft, The Witcher, board games, card games, Wii, Switch, PSP, 3DS).

What kind of postcards do I like?

- all kinds of animals, especially hamster, owls, foxes, (brown)bears, pigs, red pandas, tarantulas, mice on branches/grass/flowers...
- animals that are typical of a certain country (like puffin, blue-footed booby, kiwi, wombat...you get the idea)
- landscapes, nature (lake, sea, forest, mountains...)
- countries, cities (maps, mulitviews, singleviews, nightviews)
- castles and fortresses
- old nature illustrations (like in old plant encyclopedias f.e.)
- sky lanterns, market scenes (in winter: Christmas markets), paper umbrellas (Asia), orchids, carousels/merry-go-rounds, skeletons
- Hello Kitty, Kumamon, Rilakkuma,Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki (favourite movie: Kiki's delivery service!)
- Moomins, Pettersson & Findus, Mamma Mu, the Mole
- Harry Potter, especially Snape & Hermione
- Minions!
- Marvel
- childrens book illustrations / cute illustrations in general
- Gotochi
- Taiwan maps and shaped cards, Taiwan tourist views, Taiwan Gotochi style cards
- sweets (esp. cake!), coffee, tea, typical food, recipe cards
- book themed cards (with books, libaries, authors etc.)
- Inga Paltser owls, Lia Selina, Irina Smirnova, Nicko Huang, Suzan Visser, Mila Marquis, Ever&Ein
- Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis - Southern Lights / Aurora Australis
- Halloween cards
- Edition Tausendschön cards, PHQ cards

Yes, that's a long list, but I really look forward to every card that finds its way into my mailbox. If you have nothing of the above, that's fine. Just pick a card you think I might like. I'm curious to hear about yourself, your country, your likes and dislikes or everything you'd like me to tell. :) Or maybe you want to tell me about your favourite book?

I'm always open to private swaps. :)

Oh, and if you are wondering why I have been a member for such a long time and sent so few cards: When I moved several years ago, I set my account to inactive and just forgot to activate it again. I only recently started Postcrossing again. That's why I'm still working on my sent and received cards. ;)
