Nanesh

Hello everyone,

As you probably can see, my name is Nancy. I'm 35 years old, and certainly not the girly-girl type (I don't like pink, romantic comedies, make-up, don't dress to the latest fashion, know what offside means etc.). Instead, I like watching/doing sports, action/(religious)thriller movies and if there's a spider in your way, I will gladly remove it for you (unless it's a poisonous one, we don't have them in the Netherlands so I don't know how to handle those).

I'm a pacemaker /ICD technician, which means I do regular checkups on patients with a pacemaker or implantable defibrillator. See if the leads are still in working order and if the settings fit the patient's needs.

I play korfball, a sport most of you probably don't know. But it's fun and the only team sport with males and females together :D. (And one of those sports you're almost certain that the Netherlands will become World/European champion, haha)

Furthermore, I love writing fiction. I've participated in Nanowrimo for more than 10 years already and I try writing a lot outside Nano too.

Other hobbies/interests: playing with my cats (we have 3 kittens, all girls: Kes, Linnis and Miral), cross stitching, building miniatures, Greek mythology, (bio)medical sciences, reading, His Dark Materials / Book of Dust (<3), Avatar the Last Airbender, Star Trek, F1 (I may be Dutch but I'm not an explicit Max Verstappen fan, I like the sport and would love a more varied top step of the podium)...

I'm very curious what kind of cards I'm going to receive :D. You'd make me extremely happy with the following things:
- Felines (cats, tigers, lynxes, etc.), wolves, foxes, birds and/or butterflies
- Aurora Borealis (Northern Light)
- Angels
- Landscapes (of your country)
- Steampunky things
- Flowers
- Historical buildings/sites.
- Anything colourful :D
- Anything I like that is mentioned in the piece of description above this list

I'm not that much a fan of those extremely tourist-y cards or ad cards.

You may write down everything you like, from the weather of that day to your deepest wish (and anything in between).

I speak Dutch and English (quite) fluently.
If your first language is French or German, I would like you to write in that language, so I can practice :-).
I also speak a very little bit of Japanese and I'd love to improve, so if you speak Japanese, I'd love to read a small useful sentence with the English translation. I can read hiragana and katakana, but kanji definitely needs practice, so please be so kind to add furigana to any kanji ^_^.
