About Eline...

Hi everyone!

My name is Eline, I'm 16 years old, and I'm from the beautiful city Zwolle in the Netherlands. One of my best friends told me about postcrossing, so I started doing it myself!

On a normal weekday, I go to school. But in my spare time, I like to read books, hang out with friends, cook, play badminton or do some photography.
However, my favourite thing in the world is scouting. I've been a Girl Scout for 7 years now, and as of August I'm also a troop leader. I learn something new every week, and I met some amazing people through scouting who are now my dearest friends. I'm very lucky to be a member of such an international movement, and I cannot imagine my life without scouting.

I'd love to get postcards! But you'd be my hero if you'd send me a postcard with:
- Flowers
- Landscapes
- Maps, flags of your nation, etc.
- Cartoony things (like: Disney, drawings, etc.)
- Art
- Royalty (my mom collects pictures of worldwide royals)
- Anything with the colour pink

I also like receiving recipes! Especially traditional or local dishes. It makes me feel like I am experiencing a little bit of the world everytime I cook something like that, without having to travel!
If I send a postcard, I look at what people have written on their profile. If they mention wanting to discover new cultures, I send them typical Dutch recipes (hutspot, stroopwafels, etc.) It's such a nice idea to think that maybe they'll make it and love it!

Greetings from The Netherlands,
Eline

PS. Do not worry about the language you use: It'd be nice if you'd write it in Dutch or English (my native language, and a language I speak very fluent), but if you can't speak either one of these languages you can write in your native. I'll figure it out :)
