About Monika...

Hi!
My name is Monika. I joined postcrossing, because I’m interested in the world culture, and I like meeting new friends. I’m curious about people in generally. In the world are so many of us, and so many different histories of the life. It would be brilliant if we could know even some of them. As one of the polish writer said:
“Stories gives us eyes by which we can see the world, which couldn't be seen with our own eyes. “

That would be great pleasure to me if you would like to write me something about your life. What is your life goal? What do you believe in? What is precious to you? What you are aiming for in life? And what is your favorite quote?

My the biggest passion is art and learning languages. Because without knowing languages the window to the world is closed. I also love Japanese culture, because its mixture of modernity and tradition, just like I’m mixture of my country tradition and my own personal style and minds.

I'm great culture lover. I often visit cinemas, theaters and art galleries. It amaze me how great possibility and power is carried by art and artists. I think that by creating, thinking and living our life with commitment to something we can really make great things and even change the world.

Sometimes I wander If I were to give one piece of advice to a large group of people, what would it be? I think that I would say, trust your own judgments and believe that you can change the world with your compassion and hard work. Could you tell me what would you say?

Could you write me also what languages are obligatory languages in schools in your country?

My favorite types of cards are:

- sketching art
- Japanese or Chinese art
- Choo Choo cat postcard (jetoy)
- Crazy and colourful
- anything related to Sherlock Holmes,
- Alice in Wonderland illustrations,
- anything about Great Britain and its culture,
- Every unusual thing
- Hand made cards are welcome
- Japanese musicians (especially Miyavi, Mucc, X Japan, Dir en grey)
- Something with classical music
- Instruments as cello, violin or piano
- Black & white
- A. Mucha, Leonardo da Vinci, Monet - art generally
- Harry potter

But I will be grateful for every card u send to me, but I don't like christian themes and typical "tourists"(multi- view) postcards, but in the last resort u can also send it ;)

I'm collecting newspaper pages, coins and banknotes from all around the world. I also love art journaling so if you have anything interesting what I can stick into it I would love to receive it from you.

I would be very happy if you could send me some of stuff that I collect, of course I can send something back If you wish ^__^

I'm looking for pen-pals from all over the world so feel free to give me your address :)
