Hello to you from the Netherlands; my name is Monique. I live in IJsselstein a small town in the province of Utrecht - in the middle of this small country. I work as a secretary, now I am 59 years young (in a couple of months I'll be 60) and am the proud mother of 4 daughters, a stepdaughter, and 5 grandchildren.
At this time in my life I have (only) 4 cats - there used to be a lot more (8 for most of my life)- but that taking good care of your buddy's is costly and 4 is quite enough. I love (all) cats - except human ones ;-). I have a lovely partner as well; he just endures the cats...they are not really his "thing"; they came with me; a package deal.

I have lots of hobbies but never enough time. I really enjoy creating things by, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cutting/drawing/colouring/stamping for making special postcards, glass fusing with a Hotpot and to make jewelry and so on.

Also I enjoy traveling and I would like to do that a lot more but that is not always possible. So instead I committed myself to sending out postcards and hopefully receive some as well – which is also a way, for me, of traveling and getting to know a little bit about other people. So please write something (maybe about where you live / family or yourself); just a card with an address is less fun.

Sending and receiving postcards makes me really happy! Nowadays where internet/email and other media(twitter/WhatsApp)are taking over the way of communicating I really like the idea of having fun mail turning up instead of only having bills turning up on my doormat :-)
