I think the Postcrossing-project should get the next Nobel Peace Prize.

Hi! I´m Venla, 22 years old, a romantic woman, a neurotic woman, an extrovert woman, very accurate and visionary at the same time, sometimes just too tired and suddenly surprisingly assertive and intent. I live with my husband Riku and our cat Helmi (=Pearl) in Jyväskylä, Central Finland. Helmi has epilepsy, she loves sleeping between us, and sometimes I'm wondering, if she is a cat baby or a human baby. But I'm PRETTY sure that the baby in my belly is a human baby, so this autumn I'm going to care of two babies, Helmi and our kid. :)

I´m studying Education at University of Jyväskylä and I'm going to be a classroom and special educational teacher at the primary school. I'm already dreaming of my own class and the postcard wall whereby we can learn how wonderful this world is and how similar all the people around the world actually are. If there is just one pupil who will get interested in different cultures and people, I know I've done some important and significant in my work.

The life is always full of open doors if you just want to see them. I love travelling and I've been to Canada and over twenty countries in Europe. Reading and writing, handicraft, cooking and baking, snowboarding and skiing, drama and theatre, history and art, some things I'm keen on and want to spend time with when I don't have to work or study.

I love the bright summer nights and floating on the lake, I love the bitter cold winter evenings and wandering on the snowbank under the starry sky. I love the closest friend of mine and Jesus the Christ who makes me lie down the green pastures.
