About Mel...

Hello everyone, I live in Germany, more precisely in the beautiful Black Forest. I love photography, swimming, music (especially strings and piano), animals and PC games (GW2 & FFXIV ).

Some favorite movies are Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, The Notebook, The Theory of Everything, of course the Disney and Pixar Movies, Band of Brothers, Windtalkers, Pride & Prejudice and a lot more.

I love musicals, accoustics, electro swing, film soundtracks, and everything else from Sinatra to 50-2020. If the song fits, everything is fine

I don't have an easy childhood / past (Abuse, violence (physical and mental) and suffer from PTSD, anxiety disorder, compulsions and depression. After an accident in 2019, I no longer have a lower leg on my left side. Since I am very overweight due to physical illnesses, I continue to lie in bed and my husband has to look after me.
Despite everything, he proposed to me in the hospital and we got married in December. It was 5 months in hospital and 32 operations under general anesthesia. Since then I have to take almost 30 tablets a day because of all the symptoms. It's not easy, but giving up is not an option.

In October 2020 I had another operation to reduce the size of my stomach. As soon as I've lost enough weight, I'll get a prosthesis and learn to walk again. And I'm looking forward to going back out into the world that I've only been able to see from the window for over a year.
As of December 2020: approx -20kg
AS of March 2021: approx - 35kg After a severe gastric mucosal inflammation that I still struggle with, I am on the mend.
2023 140kg. the half from where i started.

In January 2022 I had to go back to the hospital and needed another emergency operation. My gallbladder was extremely inflamed and about to burst as it was already decomposing. Luckily it was minimally invasive and I was able to go home soon.

I still have problems with eating, with drinking, with my mental health issues. Got daily infusions for a few weeks, but my veins can't take it. It is and will remain difficult, but I'm not giving up. Even if there is still a very long way to go

January 7th we lost one of our two senior cats...his name was shorty and u see him in my profile picture... It's hard without him. My two boys helped me through a lot and I miss him very much...now it's us three...4 Deaths in 2 years... But there can't be life without death, Life goes on.

I'll make it - end of story 💪🏻

I love nature, the forest, the rain, the snow. I love animals (especially alpacas, sloths, otters, panda bears, fox, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, budgies, hedgehogs, squirrels) Almost everyone 😅

I would be happy if you write whatever you want.
Also personal like: Whats Important for you? How do you feel? What's happening in your life right now? In your country? Where is your favorite place, who is your favorite person, favorite song, favorite movie etc. Stuff like that.
I look forward to many messages / cards and wish you all the best.
Stay healt
