About Meldorffamily...

We are a family of five with three children aged 4, 8 and 10. The one who is typing these lines and who is going to write most of the postcards is Meldorffamily's mum.
When a new card has arrived, we talk about it and try to find the country on the globe.... It is a wonderful way of teaching the children about different places, cultures and languages.

As far as cards are concerned we have got only one real preference:
*** Send something YOU like and tell us a litte bit about it! ***
Anything is welcome - typical tourist cards from your town or country as well as animals, nature, cards with nice or colourful objects (tea, food, books, instruments...) or with people or sports or any special traditions from your country, arty or funny cards... Single- or multiview, ad or homemade...
Ah, and we also love Christmas cards - so if you feel like sending one during advent time you will make us happy! :)
We haven't marked any cards as favourites because we like so many cards... In short: Just surprise us!

Feel free to write in English, German, French, Russian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Italian or Spanish. (We don't actually speak all these languages, but I can usually figure out most words with a little help from my dictionaries).

Some more random facts about us: I am a teacher, my husband is a magistrate. We live in a small town close to the North Sea coast. Classical music is important for us and we play several instruments (piano, cello, double bass...) and like singing. We also love travelling (especially to the UK), books, bicycles, good food, swimming, watching football (i.e. soccer), lazy TV evenings...

We are looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks for your time and your postcards! We are thrilled to be part of this wonderful project!
