About Martine...
Hi, I am Martine, a 60+ woman from the Netherlands. I'm working in a nursing home and in free time I like walking, theatre and film.
It would be nice if you want to tell me about your life and country. And I love cards with special buildings of your city/country, or just the houses in your street or neighbourhood, because I'm very interested in architecture. If you could find them I would like to receive a card with a peace sign.
Some background information about the Netherlands: A big part of the Netherlands is below sealevel this is possible because of our dikes. We do have a lot of canals made by man. To get the water out of the country we use windmills. Our highest point is only 200 meters high and we have to share it with Belgium and Germany. So we don't have any mountains because of this we don't have waterfalls either. For people who don't understand why we call it sometimes Holland, Holland is a important province in The Netherlands.
